10 Star Challenge
The BDAV 10 Star Challenge campaign offers the Victorian building design fraternity the opportunity to design
10-Star energy efficient homes, and to compete for an award for the best 10-Star designs. The 10-Star Challenge is for conceptual projects that combine admirable architecture with efficient planning solutions and materials utilisation. The winners of the 2012 Challenge were announced at the BDAV's Annual Dinner on Friday, 27 July 2012. For details, CLICK HERE.
10-Star Challenge 2013
In 2013, entry submissions are invited in two categories: single dwellings, and multi-residential projects (units, townhouses, apartments), and across all climate zones in Australia. Submissions for the 2013 10-Star Challenge close on 29 April 2013. To download the entry form, CLICK HERE.
Challenge Ambassador
The BDAV is delighted that James O'Loghlin has agreed to be the Challenge Ambassador in 2013. You may know him as the clever and capable host of The New Inventors, or prior to that, the radio host of the evening show on
ABC 702. But James commenced his professional life as a commercial and criminal lawyer before opting for stand-up in the 1990s. Quick thinking, and the kind of ultra logic that can be drawn to absurd lengths and verbal dexterity are features of James' keen mind. As one of Australia's most sought-after corporate speakers, his unique career path has led him to become one of the leaders in thinking and speaking about 'Innovation' in its many forms, and how best to harness the opportunities that innovation delivers to both individuals and organisations.
Challenge Sponsors
The 10-Star Challenge is proudly supported by Kingspan Insulation, bankmecu, and Paarhammer Windows, and the BDAV thanks them for their support.
