Bendigo Warehouse Conversion
Our clients’ ambitious requirement was not only to turn a dilapidated old warehouse into modern healthcare consulting rooms, but to do it on a budget under $100,000. To achieve this, the structure was left mostly intact, but refurbished with a new internal fit-out to provide the required facilities. Some internal brick feature walls left uncovered and oil stains on the now polished hardwood floors, remind us of the buildings past. Externally what was “just a dingy, dirty old shed” – as our clients called it – has been transformed with new windows, external claddings, portico & good access provisions for clients. The complementary materials used in the external cladding treatments give a sense of depth and contrast to the façade which projects an image that is both professional and welcoming to their clients. The successful outcome of this project is testament to what can be achieved from modest beginnings utilising good design practice.
