www.efficientglazing.net is an initiative established by the
Australian Window Association. The site is designed to highlight the effects of glazing on the thermal performance of housing. With up to 40% of heat loss and 87% of heat gain in housing being transferred through windows, the website aims to assist with selection of the most thermally-efficient choice of glazing for your clients' projects.
The site has four tools, two of which are freely available for consumers and two, more advanced, tools for the exclusive use of registered members. In an alliance with the AWA, BDAV Members have free access to the full efficientglazing.net site - not just the free consumer sections. Members are able to utilise the tools to their fullest to compare windows, and to show the dollar savings, greenhouse gas abatement as well as the percentage improvement that can be achieved for three different house types in any location across Australia.
For the access codes to the efficientglazing.net site, log in to the MEMBER pages of the BDAV website, and select Member Benefits from the right-hand navigation selections.
Whilst the BDAV has been offered a single license by the AWA, with permission to pass the login details to our members, it is on the understanding that such login codes will not be distributed to any non-BDAV-Member or unauthorised person. In addition, by accessing the efficientglazing.net site, Members understand that they agree to accept the terms and conditions of the site.
