What is a House Energy Rating?

A residential building thermal performance assessment - more commonly referred to as an energy rating - is required for all proposed residential construction that requires a building permit (subject to legislation that applies within each State/Territory jurisdiction). The energy rating measures the thermal performance of a proposed dwelling design.
